Kasatolo Mailangi Promoted to Customer Care Manager

Thursday, 20th August 2020 I Nuku’alofa I Tonga – Digicel, the country’s leading telecommunication and entertainment provider today announced that Mrs. Kasatolo Mailangi has been promoted to Customer Care Manager.
Digicel Tonga CEO, Anthony Seuseu said, “We congratulate and welcome Kasatolo to the Senior Management Team. We’re proud to develop and promote local leadership talent. Today, we celebrate Kasatolo’s promotion and look forward to her leading a strong Customer Care team.” In her new role, thirty-four year old Mailangi from Kolofo’ou, Tongatapu will lead the development and growth of the Customer Care department.

“I’ve always enjoyed talking and listening to customers, to help provide answers to their questions or concerns put through to Customer Care,” Mailangi said. Mailangi joined Digicel Tonga in February 2014 as a Customer Care Agent and was promoted to Customer Care Quality Assurance nine months later.
Within two years, Mailangi was promoted to Customer Care Outbound Manager in April 2016 before leaving Customer Care in April 2019 to move into Business Solutions as Home & Entertainment Sales Executive.
In her role with Business Solutions, she managed Digicel PlayTV customers both current and new signups very effectively, which also led to being recently awarded the Employee of the Month trophy for her role as best performing employee to consistently achieve monthly sales targets back to back. Mailangi had also won other awards such as the Outstanding Performer of the Year 2019 Award. Mailangi said she’s quite excited to be relocated to where she started in the business, returning with insight and discipline ready for the role.
“I always believe that in Customer Care, it is our discipline to put the customer first –that the customer is always right,” she added. Mailangi, who is also a mother of five, said her motivation to grow in her professional career comes from discipline, teamwork, commitment and love for family.
